Poem 153- Plugged into the Mains

Plugged into the Mains

I’ve been electrocuted. The electrical
Spark bounces around my body
Firing my heart and artillery to secure
The perimeter.

The shock permeates all layers, curls my
Toes, jump starts my brain and prepares me
For battle. This year has been a preparation.
A boot camp for the next stage of my life and
I grasp for it, tased so hard I
Can’t stop my eyes from flashing and impairing
The vision I am to create.

This is your life.

This is your shock.

Only you spin it and turn it

Until it becomes the renewable

Energy source that powers everything.
